...we typically find things to do on our own, preferring to talk to locals and explore without guides. 

That said, we had a private day tour of Zagreb arranged for us with Damjan and were blown away by his ability to read that about us. We walked through Saint Mark's Church, Dolac Market, and Kaptol learning all of the history, but it felt like having a charming friend walk you through their city for a day rather than a tour. 

We loved the experience and getting to meet Damjan!

In October 2012 a group of 19 travelers arrived in Zagreb from Baltimore, Maryland,USA to begin a 10-day pilgrimage through Croatia. We were met by a bright, charming and very dedicated tour guide named Damjan Beusan. From the moment we met him until the end of our journey, Damjan won our praise and admiration. He was always gracious, patient and flexible with our group which was much older in age than he is.

He impressed us all with his great knowledge of the various cities and sites we visited. It was evident to all of us that he knew his subject matter very well. When he was asked something about which he did not have a response, he did not hesitate to say that he did not know the answer and would look it up. His intelligence, friendliness, energy, candor, kindness, adaptability, and great loyalty to our group won him high affirmative grades in the minds and hearts of all 19 of us. In the short number of days that we were with him we all had grown to value him not only as a respected professional guide but also as a friend.

We have all extended to him an invitation to come to Baltimore and stay with us while we, as tour guides for him, tour him around our city during his time in our country. We give him the highest grades possible for his professional work as a tour guide.

He was very easy to work with setting up the tour and he accommodated our needs. Seeing we were jetlag from our flight from the US, he drove us for the first portion of the tour and showed all over Zagreb. We learned all about the history of Croatia, which is very complex and talked world politics. Damjan is very knowledgeable so its great to have someone to chat with about places we have traveled. He was also very accommodating when it came to traveling with our son, which we very much appreciate. At the end of the tour Damjan was kind to give our son the Heart of Zagreb.

Next time we return to Zagreb we will definitely use Damjan for a day trip.

As for us, we're on a European tour at the moment, and just as tehy say/  we couldn't get a better introduction tothe complex European history than this one here. Comparing it to the guides you usually get,this was such a treat! Do Zagreb, do Hello Zaagreb!  

I highly recommend Damjan Beusan which during all tour with the group answered all questions allways smilling, gently and very polite!

Definitely a guide to recommend to those visiting Zagreb!! From the get go Demian was a cheerful, cool guy, enthusiastic about his home town, ready to take my wife Kendra and me not only to the usual stuff  people see on a historic walk thru a European town, but to a few interesting hidden remnants from the communist era as well. Which was really fantastic! Keep up the good work!!!

Damjan's passion for his country made our trip so enjoyable. He toured us through Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Slovenia, and Croatia. We left with new knowledge of these countries, and new lifelong friends. I know I will be back and I would recommend Kufer Travel to anyone who is seeking an incredible journey full of history, passion, and unforgettable memories.
