Did you know that in Zagreb people of all religions have been buried indiscriminately? We’ll explore diverse religious communities which have coexisted here in peace since the Middle Ages.
During the tour the participants will visit the city’s central place of worship for Roman Catholics, who constitute the majority of the population - the monumental Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven, and then proceed to the charming 18th century Orthodox Church of the Transfiguration, both in the very heart of the modern city.
The next focus will be Zagreb Jewish heritage. The tour will be concluded by a visit to the slender mosque of Zagreb’s Muslim community, close to the river Sava.
